Just got an email from our agency:
"Dear Russia Families,
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to inform you of increases to the Russia Foreign Fee. After numerous discussions and deliberations, the Facilitator Staff has informed us of the necessity of increasing the Foreign Fee and Dossier Translation cost in order to continue to provide adoption services...The primary reasons for the current increase are the increased official procedures related to adoption in Russia and the decreasing value of the dollar against the ruble."
Basically it is $2,300 more than it was. At least the whole fee isn't due until the 2nd trip. Guess it's time for another fund raiser... I've been trying to come up with something I could do for Valentine's Day. Any ideas? More sweets?

Oh, prior to my daughter's Jennifer's and her husband Justin's wedding reception I purchased M & M's with sayings on it, in their wedding colors. How about M & M's with a clever saying that expresses your heart for your own bundle of joy!! Then, having them in a little heart shape basket for the fund raiser? Just a thought!
I am going to ask a couple of friends and see what they think, and get back to you both!
Andrea
Thanks for the input. Only problem is the m-ms are too expensive to begin with. But great thinking!
Just remember that God has this all under control and knew it was going to happen. So hmmm fundraisers?? I will have to think of something. My youth group back in the day, we did a Valentines Day fundraiser, we made Valentines Day baskets (candies, goodies) It went well. People purchased them because it was going toward a good cause and not just "the store's sales of Valentines" You can try to sell to various offices. Hmmm I will think of something else too.
Hey, just to let you know that I found some sites on fund raising, and e-mailed you about it. When you go to the fundraising-ideas.org; go to the tap that saids adoptions; it, will give you ideas on fundraising on adoptions. I, hope this helps.
